• Worked with the Kar Geno Center through the United Nations volunteering system to support the development of grant proposals to empower women with AIDS in Kenya. 

• Researched funding opportunities and background information to include in proposals and worked on proposal drafts with a team of other volunteers.

Mapper (Tanzania Development Trust; United Nations volunteering)

• Worked with other volunteers to map villages, roads and buildings in rural Tanzania to protect girls from female genital mutilation (using OpenStreetMap software). This mapping helps on-site workers navigate the environment and get access to remote areas to reach out to more girls in danger.
